Podcasting provides students with the purpose and motivation to create spectacular products, like advertisements, jingles, news reports based on current affairs, interviews and radio programs. Podcasting also provides educators with a wonderful tool to address many of our English learning outcomes, especially within the strands of talking and listening.

Also, when podcasts are embedded in other Web 2.0 tools it encourages real world feedback on student work.

GarageBand is a piece of software which enables teachers and students to use music and recorded audio to enhance learning through the viewing, critiquing and creating of pod (audio) and vodcasts (audio and visuals).
